Our payroll Coordinator are responsible for processing timesheets, updating payroll records and answering employee questions about payments. Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

  • Collect and Validate timesheets 
  • Enter and validate employees revenue generation to properly process bonuses and commissions
  • Input payroll for processing
  • Track Employee benefits
  • Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
  • Verify invoices processed for technicians in our POS system
  • Answer employees queries about payroll and benefits related issues
  • Responsible for the production and timely delivery of payroll from multiple sources
  • Ensures accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding's, and company deductions while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules and regulations and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
  • Prepares statistical reports on employee pay, commissions and bonuses, vacation, sick time, disability and workers compensation premiums, and taxes/withholding's, etc
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions included salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Generates records showing each payee, hours worked, wages paid, withholding's and deductions, and taxes withheld
  • Resolves payroll issues as they arise and implement procedures to mitigate future risks and errors
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure the timely completion of all payroll tax balancing and the issuance of W-2’s
  • Regularly communicates with management, Human Resources, Finance, and Workers Compensation on payroll related topics
  • Recommend the development of new polices and procedures utilizing knowledge of federal, state, and local government regulations and reporting requirements
  • Audit quarterly tax filings and file amendments were necessary
  • Work with external auditors on annual audits, walkthroughs, and all other information gathering

Qualifications

Do I have What it Takes?

  • BS/BA in business administration (finance/accounting)
  • 5+ years of payroll experience 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll best practices and related law regulations
  • Ability to multi-task in a face paced environment
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven with strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to present data in a concise, logical, and useful manner
  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts to assist in general ledger reconciliations
  • Experience with Excel, Outlook, Service Titan, Quick Books
  • Knowledgeable of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ethics and ability to keep information confidential
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid analytical & problem-solving skills
